Having a pharmacist look at your entire medication list is a good idea, too. Often times, they know more than the doctors about the meds, especially if you have medications for other health issues such as high blood pressure.
If there's a real serious concern about your medications, or if you are on LOTS of them from different doctors, I'd call up to the Pharmacy school at the University of Colorado Medical School. When we did that, our list was given to a doctoral student as a project. We received a thorough report on all the possible interactions. The professor seemed pleased to have such a project for her students.
The doctors had brushed off our concerns - until we brought the report!
