Exercise Classes

Parkinson Association of the Rockies offers exercise classes for individuals living with Parkinson’s including dance, singing, general exercise, circuit training, non-contact boxing, yoga and more. Studies have shown that exercise slows the progression of Parkinson’s and eases symptoms.

Parkinson Association of the Rockies offers free access to a licensed clinical social worker to ensure patients are receiving comprehensive treatment and care. These one-on-one evaluations are individualized to meet the needs of each person.

Support Groups

Parkinson Association of the Rockies offers 50+ support groups serving communities throughout Colorado and Wyoming, including Care Partner specific groups, Young Onset and recently diagnosed groups. Each support group strives to deliver an environment of understanding and acceptance to those living with Parkinson’s.

Educational programs

Parkinson Association of the Rockies organizes educational seminars and annual conferences facilitated by experts in the Parkinson’s field to provide valuable information for People with Parkinson’s and their Care Partners.

Online Community

Parkinson Association of the Rockies provides extensive information about the disease through designated online resources for patients and Care Partners, testimonials, medication information, Care Partner resources and interactive social media outlets including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube communications.

Equipment Loan Program

Parkinson Association of the Rockies has U-Steps walkers, transfer chairs and wheelchairs in our equipment loan program. This valuable program allows individuals to borrow equipment for up-to three months to ensure it meets their needs before making an expensive purchase.

PAR’s information and referral helpline is available to answer immediate questions concerning the many aspects of Parkinson’s. The helpline is staffed by a licensed clinical social worker and is an accessible resource for patients and Care Partners.
