Equipment Loan Program
We provide durable mobility equipment to make life living with Parkinson’s disease a little easier.
Try before you buy
The goal of this program is to provide equipment to individuals that want to test drive a piece of equipment while working with their insurance provider to acquire one of their own. All equipment is for short-term loan between 2-3 months. Exceptions are made for those individuals unable to secure their own equipment. Please note, at this time we are not able to lend equipment outside of Colorado.
How do I take advantage of this program?
Please call us at (303) 830-1839 to check for availability of the equipment you are in need of. We will schedule a visit to our office in Denver for you to check out the item and sign a liability waiver. Equipment is loaned on a first-come, first-served basis.
How do I know which piece of equipment is right for me?
If you are unsure of what type of equipment you may need, please consult your doctor or physical therapist.
What if I have purchased my own equipment and no longer have the need for these items?
We graciously accept medical equipment donations that are clean and in good working condition. These donations are tax-deductible and help us provide countless families with equipment at no cost. Please call our office at 303-830-1839 to organize the donation of equipment.
Equipment Types Available
U-STEP WALKERS
The U-Step walker was designed to increase independence and eliminate falling among those with neurological conditions. Users must hold in the hand brakes to walk. When the brakes are released the walker stops, decreasing the chances of falls. Many of our U-Step walkers include a laser attachment that benefits those who experience freezing. Each walker includes a basket that can also be used as a temporary seat and the walkers fold for easier portability. U-Step walkers weigh 24 lbs.
ROLLING WALKERS
Our standard rolling walkers include adjustable handles for various heights, a padded temporary seat, and comfortable hand grips. These rolling walkers fold for easy transport and weigh 14 lbs.
DOLOMITE WALKERS
Dolomite walkers include a flip-up seat and large wheels that are perfect for both indoor and outdoor use. The handles can be adjusted to suit various heights and are forward-facing to promote better posture. Each walker has a removable front basket for storage. Dolomite walkers weigh 15 lbs.
TRANSFER CHAIRS
Transfer chairs are extremely helpful to caregivers needing to assist patients around the house or out and about. Our transfer chairs are light-weight, have rear wheel locks and swing away footrests, and fold for easy transport or storage. Many have seat belts for added safety.
WHEELCHAIRS
We have various sizes of standard wheelchairs available for short-term loan. All are able to be folded for transport or storage and have swing away footrests.
