Deep Brain Stimulation and Exercise for Parkinson's
Dr. David VanSickle will discuss Deep Brain Stimulation surgery including what it entails, the risks and benefits of the surgery and what makes a good candidate for surgery. He will also outline follow up programming and address concerns expressed by the audience.
Why is exercise important? Jennifer McKenzie will discuss why exercise is beneficial for those with Parkinson’s disease. She will also touch base on different types exercise for people with Parkinson’s and the most current research in exercise and Parkinson’s.
