During the program, Dr. Mihaela Alexander will discuss Common Health Issues & Parkinson’s. She will highlight common concerns, and how to address these issues as well as how to advocate for your health.

Dr. Mihaela Alexander
Dr. Alexander is board certified in both General Neurology and Vascular Neurology and specializes in stroke, spasticity management, and movement disorders. She is the Medical Director for the Stroke Program and Neurology Department at Littleton Adventist Hospital. She is also a member of the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, and the Colorado Medical Society.

Dr. Alexander is a graduate of the Medical University in Bucharest, Romania. She completed an internal medicine/pediatrics residency prior to training in neurology at the University of Minnesota where she also did extensive research in cerebral ischemia at the Laboratory of Cerebrovascular Biology and Stroke. She completed additional training to specialize in spasticity management and Activa/Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) therapy. She has participated on the Novartis Faculty Development Program Board, Allergan Advisory Board for spasticity management, Teva Neuroscience Speaker Bureau for Parkinson’s disease, and Charisma Medical Advisory Board for stroke prevention. In addition, Dr. Alexander is the Associate Professor of Neurology with Rocky Vista Medical University.
